I am Passionate About: STUDENTS as individuals, each with unique and God-given abilities, dreams & potential and HIGHER EDUCATION - the key to unlocking potential and creating opportunity for the future.
Why I Do What I Do: My undergraduate experience had a profound impact on my life and shaped so much of who I am today. As a result, I chose a career in college admissions and recruiting. I worked in undergraduate admissions on a college campus for six years, until recently making a career change that better suited my lifestyle as a mother. Although I loved my full-time work in admissions, I equally valued being able to spend as much time at home as possible with my family. Educational Consulting has given me the best of both worlds: I continue my work with students and families in a one-on-one setting, AND I get to be a mom and wife to my own family. Perfect! I will receive my certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California, Irvine in early 2012. My most sincere desire is to help students find their perfect college match where they will confidently excel, not only academically, but socially, spiritually, and relationally.
Who I Work With: I work primarily with high school students as they prepare for the college transition. My role is to assist students students in whatever stage they are in. I work with freshman through seniors and specialize my services towards each grade level.
When I'm Not Working With Students and Families: I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my husband and son, being outdoors (especially on the lake), traveling, cooking for friends, watching sports with my husband (college football it is!), and enjoying my church community.
